Discover the aromas
Our Incahuasi is a classic-washed Peru with a very nice mild acidity and good juiciness. One can capture some decent florals aromas with the nose, from which macadamia and apple are predominant.
Location
The cooperative has members in three different regions around the Cusco area, Incahuasi, Anchihuay and Anco, from which our coffee comes from. The total area of coffee production is around 750 ha on altitudes reaching from 1700 to 2300 masl. The farms are mostly small family lots on the slopes of the Cusco mountains.
About
Since the early beginnings in 1999 the Incahuasi Cooperative developed step by step. During the first years they grew organically and with the assistance of their partners and allies, they were able to gain various certifications and invest in their equipment and infrastructure as well as their coffee production.
The actual Cooperativa Agraria Cafetalera Valle de Incahuasi was founded in the year 2005 and is since then looking to improve their coffee quality, strengthen their associations, and protect the environment. In the last years, the cooperative has additionally won several awards as well as national and international prices, like the Cup of Excellence, in the specialty coffee sector.
Their members are growing varities such as Bourbon, Catimor, Caturra, Geisha and Tipica. The Cooperative is very well organized and socially driven to support every member during every step of the production.
